Defender Download failure

I have automatic updates. Two downloads of Defender Definition updates failed
on 04/25/06. I see numerous other posts of this problem. Isn't it time for
Microsoft to do something? Anything?
 
It was necessary for me to un-install Defender then re-install for the new
Defenitions to be accepted. Yes! M$ needs to straighten this out!!!
 
I am having the exact same issue problems. I have tried to uninstall and
reinstall and no updates will take. I keep getting the same error code
#0X80240022 (which if I'm not mistaken is just a generic error code #) asking
for the correct diskette in the correct drive. I agree MS needs to fix this
fast!
 
Do something? You can try calling support for this prob - unless like me you
have work to do and cant wait 20min on hold. Tried Cleanup, download again
(2x's) No luck. Any other sugg?? tks
