Last night i downloaded and installed Windows Defender and after finding some
minor problems, i click remove and it turns out that there were more files
deleted then what Windows Defender said there were, not only was the spyware
removed that was related to a program, all of my MP3's were deleted as well!
Windows Defender only identified 2 minor spywares, not the MP3's, how can i
recover those files? This is very bad for my computer since i have 3 iPod's
in the house and iTunes now is missing over 200 mp3's and some 2 of the
iPod's will have nothing on them the next time i dock them because the mp3's
are gone. Please help me with this issue, i feel extremely bad and upset
about this.

Hi Vegeta42,

I understand you feelings regarding what happened you. I experiencied
something simmilar with very valuable documents for me.
There is a product I used for recovering my lost information. It first scans
the hard disk and creates a report showing the erased contents still
available in the hard disk. The trial version goes up to this point; if you
want to actually recover files shown by the report, the full license has to
be paid. There are versions for FAT partitions only, NTFS partitions only, or
both. If you don't know what type of partition you have, it is worth to find
it out first in order to buy the version which fits your needs and saving
some or your money by the way.
The software allows you to chose a range of sectors from your hard disk in
order to reduce the scanning time. This requires to make several scans, for
reviewing the whole set of ranges required to cover the entire hard disk
space. I wouldn't suggest this aproach; I tried it and it happens that one
specific range had only a piece of my files, so I still had to continue
looking for the remaining ones. Go for sure, ask for a whole disk scan. I
will take up to 1 hour to complete the scan and some more minutes to finally
recover the data, but it worth it.

The recovery software is GetDataBack. The vendor is Runtime Software:

Good Luck,

Jo
