Defender can not recognise signature 1.14.1353.2

My auto-update has installed about 20 times of the signature version
1.14.1353.2 (Definition update KB915597, successful in the update history),
but the defender does not respond and the auto-update keeps on installing it
over and over again. I have tried to uninstall Defender and reinstall it, but
it is still not accepting the update. Any suggestions?
 
Download "Your Uninstaller!2006" demo version. Uninstall completely WD.
Delete all folders in C:/Documents and settings/All users/Microsoft/WD and
Program files. Reboot. Reinstall WD. It worked for me. I had the same
problem. But try put complaints, it' been months we are at the circus
updating our spyware definitions with WD;it's free, ok, but seriously, it's
not a way to wage war!
