Defender blocking startup apps?

I've installed a number of apps like; Stickies, Logitech Updater, etc and
for a couple of boots these worked fine and auto-ran as expected.

However now at each boot I get Defender popping up in the task bar warning
about progs which have been blocked from Auto-booting.

On looking at Defender the apps are listed, but when one clicks on one the
'Enable' button does not un-=grey so the apps have to be run manually.

Is there a way around this?

Again this seems an area for 3rd parties to accept their
responsibilities to robustly support a major OS development.

I may be mistaken but if MS waded in to change 3rd party software to
comply with an MS OS in development and release it publicly then stuff
would probably hit the fan.

Try the 3rd party websites and make a formal request through the support
links is probably, in my opinion, the best way to go.

(Don't hold your breath though - some 3rd parties seem to have
overlooked from whence they have generated most of their and
shareholders' income in my experience)

If you click on the Windows Defender icon on the notification area you can
get a menu that allows you to see which programs it's blocking and to
unblock them. Unfortunately that only works for that session. It's
something the 3rd party software vendor has to correct.

Cheers guys, unfortunately it seems that the 'Enable' button which I think
should be able to unblock still does not function? Or am I missing
something?

Nope, you're not. The Enable option is supposed to unblock it for that one
time.

Right, so if it is not enabled it looks like I've found a bug - great :)

Lol..yep, but is it reproducible across systems. It didn't happen here. The
one time Defender blocked a program the enable worked.

Certainly is here, it never un-greys so it can be used.

I'm getting the same thing here. Two programs that I have set to run as
admin as they only work properly that way now get blocked by defender at
startup and the enable button never gets un-greyed

Same here!
