Since installing Defender I notice that I can't stay logged in on any number
of bulletin boards or forums. I haven't changed any other settings. Yet on
5 different forums running different bulletin board systems, I
repeatedly/intermittently was sent to log-in screens and had to re-enter
usernames and passwords when I tried to navigate away after signing in.
No other security changes were initiated by me.

Running XP for TabletPC SP2
IE 6.0 SP2

Thanks for any suggestions.

i had a similar problem....
i tried to watch some online video contents and then Windows defender ask me
to allow the apperture of some ports from the firewall....i click to accept
them but when play the videos says and error.....

it seems Windows Defender doesn't let change the configuration... in your
case i supose is the auto login to access to the forums

check the allowed items box in WD and you'll know what i'm talking...

I see what you mean. Beta feels a little too constrained. I would like to
see the option to choose what you allow and don't also. I have used that
ability in both Spyware Doctor and Spybot Search and Destroy.

At present, this limitation would cause me NOT to use Defender in the long
run.
