I accidently removed something one morning while half asleep and shouldn't
have. What is the best way to bring it back. I can see it in the history as
being removed.

Help if you can, Thanks

Hi lolpup

If what you removed was not quarantined by Windows Defender, then it is
gone - kinda like what happens when you empty the recycle bin. However, if
the object removed was in a folder being monitored by System Restore, then a
System Restore should recover it. Things like My Pictures, My Documents are
not monitored by System Restore. There is also the possibility that you can
recover an object after it has been removed (since deleting an object does
not physically erase it from the hard drive) through the use of some
utilities (you can find these by searching the Internet). However, the more
you do on your system increases the likelihood that an allocation for a new
file will reuse the area on the disk where the old file had been, i.e., the
file may have been overwritten already.

Thanks Mr Cat,

I will try. Think I solved the problem. Should have been more awake. But I
will try and hopefully that will help for next time.
