Under XP is there a reg edit of fix to force the scanner and camera wizard to
download to a specifc network folder? I have 20 plus users with roaming
profiles sharing 4 desktop computers. Most can get the files into the network
directory without undue effort. Others are saving anywhere they find the
wizrd going.

Windows SBS 2003 environment, windows XP on all desktops.

Thanks in advance

No, there is no way to *force* the download to a specific folder.
The Acquisition Wizard uses a MRU (most recent used) to determine where to
import the images to. That is, it defaults to the last used directory.
In theory, you can use this functionality to default to a network share;
however, this is not recommended , because network paths can't contain
"decorations."

For example, the default folder name is:

My Pictures, {Event}

This yields

C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\My Pictures\EventA\EventA
NNN.JPG
C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\My Pictures\EventB\EventC
NNN.JPG
C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\My Pictures\EventC\EventC
NNN.JPG

Putting a network directory in the MRU, though, is going to dump all of the
pictures in one big folder:

\\server\share\EventA NNN.JPG
\\server\share\EventB NNN.JPG
\\server\share\EventC NNN.JPG

A much better approach would be to set up redirected My Documents. That way
everyone is going to be able to take advantage of the network resources.
