I am trying to get windows to use it's default scanning program when for when I use my scanner. But ever since I updated my scanner and installed the HP drivers and software, I can't get it back. I wanted to find out if the HP software was better but it isn't. So I tried uninstalling the scanner and then pluging it back in the USB so windows would automatically install it like it did before, but it didn't and it keeps asking for the HP drivers. How can I get windows to use the it's own scanning program? I tried seraching for it, and tried the Windows XP CD, but it said it can't find anyting. Can someone please help!!

Brandon, look in Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs for any HP Scanner
Software. Also, go to Start>Run type:
regedit. Check HKey_Current_User\Software and
Hkey_Local_Machine\Software for any HP folders and delete
them.
