Most of us at work have dual monitors running on Windows XP, sp2. We would
like that when we open a window and or application that it opens back in the
same setting it previously closed. For example: If we closed a application
on the second monitor, when we open the same application we want it to open
on the second monitor. Currently, everything opens on the 1st monitor and
customer must move window to 2nd monitor. Customer not happy, means I'm not
happy. Any help appreciated.

These arrangements are made by the video driver.

That wasn't the question; the question was how to get it to "stick" at
those settings. How is that done?

Update the video driver...

If it supports dual monitors properly - then it will hold those settings for
most windows. There may be a few archaic applications that 'reset' this for
themselves.

If it doesn't or the dual monitor setup was done with some hodge-podge
method (not using dual-port video cards or using completely different video
cards just to have dual monitors, etc) - then there *may be* some third
party software solution - but nothing native I can think of.

Leonard: GREAT, I understood exactly and it worked. Thank you so very much.
I did not know it could have something to do with video driver. I went to
ATI site, downloaded latest video driver and installed it. PERFECT. Thanks
again.

Glad to help.
