Greg

Somehow a webpage called i-lookup has been able to
establish itself as my default web page in IE 6.0.

I have gone into the control panel and tried changeing
the default, but the other page keeps coming up.

I found a folder with a shortcut from i-lookup and
deleted it. The little bugger still keeps showing up.

Any ideas on how I can purge this think would be
appreciated.

Greg;
Possibly a virus, but most likely spyware.
Run an updated virus scan.
Or Scan for Viruses online:
http://security.symantec.com/ssc/home.asp?j=1&langid=ie&venid=sym&plfid=23&pkj=IRLFIZTYMWPAZTJWUFJ
Run Disk Cleanup checking all boxes except "Compress old files"
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Clean-up
Check this link:
http://www.aumha.org/a/noads.php
Run Ad-Aware (free version) or Spybot to check for spyware:
http://www.lavasoft.de/ (Update if you already have it)
Or
http://spybot.eon.net.au/ (Update if you already have it)

Have you checked the hosts or lmhosts file to see if an entry was put there for
web page or search redirection?
