I recently installed powerpoint 2007 on my PC to play around with. I left the
2003 version on the computer because I prefer to use that for most
applications. However, whenever I open a file it automatically opens in 2007.
Is there a way to set a particular version of powerpoint as default?

Re-registering 2003 should do the work.
Look for the full path of your 2003's Powerpnt.exe file.
Then click Start button > Run.
Type the full path (with quotation) followed by /regserver. For example:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Powerpnt.exe" /regserver

Click ok and PowerPoint 2003 will re-register itself. Once it's done, open a
ppt file and see if it works this time round.
