Is it safe to delete the default user file that duplicates the owner file. This would free 5.6gb.
I have a HP pavilion7925 using XP

Hello,

Are you specifically talking about the Default User profile located in the
Documents and Setting folder? If so, then no the profile is required for
building new user profiles on the system. What you would want to do is
find out where all this space usage is coming from in the Default User
profile.

Send me back the path to the largest files in the profile and that way I
can determine if you can delete the file or not.

Best regards,
