Default task bars

Does anyone know if you can change the default task bar? For example, what I
would like to do is have the Design task bar open displaying colour schemes
rather than design templates. Can this be done?

Aehan,
I do not think this is possible. You already have a task pane which can
automatically activate the design color schemes.
I would suggest adding a button to the toolbar of your choice, go to Tools -
customize - commands tab - category formatting - drag the color scheme
option with the left mousebutton to the taskbar of your choice and release
the mouse button. So the color schemes are only one click away.
 
Do as Luc says but maybe drag "color schemes" onto the menu below Format >
Slide design. That way you can choose design or color schemes to open.

Thank you both. I had already dragged a button on to the toolbar to activate
the Colour Scheme task pane, as John suggested I put it beside the Design
button. It's for a company who only allow their template to be used for
presentations, but the users can select a different colour scheme. Thanks
for confirming that I can't customise the task pane. We'll just have to work
with the custom button, and thank you for taking the time to reply.
