I have a setup with a AD on WinSrv2000

My users are placed in a OU, with GP.

However, when connect my private laptop to my company network, and
type \\domain\c$ or h$ or whatever, I get access to the complete
share. (My private laptop has never been in any way connected, to this
network before. And I dont have any logon on my laptop. It does not
belong to the domain)

I would like that ONLY my domain users can access shares, and i only
want my domain users to access the shares I specify.

Furthermore, it would be great if I could allow access to our network
printer attached to our server to guest's.

Any suggestions on how to correct this.

Best Regards

This $ shares are made for only administrative purpose. Is your login ID any
chance member of admin group?

No my laptop does not even log on to the domain. (Nor do I log on the
computer)

All I have to do to access the $ shares is just plug in a guest
computer, and I can go directly to all the shares without having to
login...

It sounds like you have the guest account enabled and that it is a member of the Domain Admins group???????
