Dan

When I let Office restore to factory defaults, it started Outlook from
scratch and opened a new pst file. How do I change the default pst file to
my old one and eliminate the new one?

Thanks

sorry.......Outlook 2003 sp1

Then follow these instructions:

Please note: under no circumstances should you try to import your old PST
file.

WOW! What a auser friendly process!

Anyway, I now have teo copies of "MyPersonalFolders" showing and they are
linked (delete from one and it deletes from both) AND my address book si not
present in either one.

Is there another ten page procedure that Microsoft has dreamed up for this
situation? (Sorry but this is a riduculas operation because I wanted Power
Point to straighten up and fly right.)

Thanks

Then you must not have followed the directions correctly.
Your profile is corrupt. Create a new one then follow the directions in the
article.
