I need to set the default protocol in xp to NetBEUI. Does
anyone know how to do this?

Try this after installing NetBEUI:

1. Open the Network Connections folder.
2. Click Advanced | Advanced Settings.
3. Click the LAN adapter in the upper window.
4. For each set of bindings in the lower window:
a. Click NetBEUI.
b. Click the up arrow until it's the first protocol listed.

Hi again, Adam -

Just install NetBEUI. Windows XP will attempt to talk
TCP-IP but when that doesn't work it'll fall back to
NetBEUI. It's not possible to uninstall TCP-IP in
Windows XP but you can disable NetBIOS over TCP-IP.

Adam -

Steve is correct. My work machine only has one protocol
bound to it so I didn't see the option to change protocol
order.

My apologies for leading you down the wrong path :(
