Default Printers

I do not know if this should be posted here or in
printers, but here is my problem. I have two (2) users
on my network that are having problems with their default
printers. When they log onto Citrix from home, Citrix
will connect their local printers, and that works fine.
The problem is that when they return to the office, and
logon, they notice that their default printer has
changed. I have not been able to notice a pattern with
this except for that the default printer that it changes
to is the first one alphabetically.

I am grateful for any comments/suggestions.

It happens when the user shares the same roaming profile between Citrix and
their ordinary desktop environment. If Citrix doesn't have the right
printer driver loaded for the user's default printer (it won't do point and
print driver downloads like an ordinary Windows box), the system doesn't
show the printer in the Citrix session and will therefore set a new default.

You could add a printer using the same driver to the Citrix box and then
delete it. This will load the driver on the Citrix box so when the users
log in next time, it will show thier regular work printer.

Alternatively, consider using a separate terminal services profile to the
regular roaming profile.
