Default printer keeps changing

I use my HP printer very rarely and almost always use the brothers laser
printer. For some reason everytime I open a document to print the HP printer
is selected. Then when I check the printer module, the hp printer is the
default printer. I've switched it to the Brothers printer 15 times and every
I open the printer module the HP printer is marked as default. What is
happening????

Are you setting the printer from start, printers and faxes and then
selecting the default printer from there? Setting a printer from within an
application will typically not "stick".
