Default Printer Changes

I've seen similar posts but no real answers. I've got an XP SP2 laptop that
indescriminately changes the default printer between a networked Xerox
WorkCentre (Office) and an attached HP printer (Home). The user claims this
was never a problem until he installed an update to Adobe Acrobat Standard.
Any feedback and/or explanation is appreciated. Lance
 
It should make the default printer the first one it finds. If the networked
printer is the default and it's not available, it will default to something
it does find that it recognizes as a printer.
 
I am having the same trouble and it only started once I re-installed Acrobat
6 (it pooped out and required it). I have two printers and have my laser
printer set as my default, but every time I reboot it does a quick
configuration of my inkjet and makes it the default, which I have to switch
back. I believe this is an Acrobat problem but I am having trouble finding
any answers on their site. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate
it. Thanks!
