Default Player

Can someone please advise me how do I change my default player to somthing
other than windows media player as it is not compatable with everything I
wish to play or watch. ( nero, media player classic)

Browse to a media type file.
Right Click on it and select Open With.
Select Choose Program....
Browse to the media player you wish to set as default and check the
box which says:-

OK
