I have a Windows 2003 server running as a Domain controller. I noticed that
the permissions on the root partitions (c and d) have been changed. I would
like to reassign the original permission to the root partitions and the
system folder (\Windows).

thank you.

What did you compare to as default? When a Windows Server is promoted to
Domain Controller lot of Security changes are made to the file system as
well the registry to secure the system.

Hi,

I agree with Chris and pleae check following tool if you do want to
