When in any folder:
Tools/Internet Options, then the tab File Types. Find the file type for
which you wish to change the player, klick it, and klick the button change.
If a box comes up, choose the "Select from a list" option. This will bring
up a list of "Recomended Programs" (which will most likely list all the
players on the computer), and "Other Programs". If your player is not
listed, klick the Browse Button and find the player in your computer.

You could also simply right klick the file, and select Open. This will also
bring you to the list mentioned above. Choose the program to play the file
with, and then check the box "Always use the selected program to open this
kind of file"
