Default mailer nag, XP Media center

Mike Hyndman

A colleague using XP Media Center was getting the nag that "Outlook was not
his default mail prog, etc., etc." So he made it so in IE, now he gets the
message that OE is not his default mail prog. Any suggestions on how to
break this circle?

Does he use Outlook and Outlook Express ? Surely one email client preferably
Outlook should do the job then you would not receive the message.

No, he didn't even know he had Outlook, he had always used OE. He got the
message on startup, we changed the default to Outlook, now he is told that
OE is not the default, change it back and the saga continues. It is a PITA.
