Default mail client not properly installed.

I kept getting this message after hitting an email link, so I researched it
and found out that I should go into control panel, internet options and
select an email client which is Windows Live (Windows Live Hotmail). I did
this and tested it. Now I get a .net passport error. Anyone have any ideas
of what I should do?
 
In 'User Accounts' app in Control Panel, you click your account name icon,
and see the "Chamge my .Net Passport" item.
