Default fonts

I have xp pro and IE 7. Because of failure to display webpage problems, my
system has been troubleshooted forever. Recently, I went to wireless and
uninstalled MSN dial-up 9.5.

Today, I find that the font I have for google searches and chat is an
italizied one I have no use for.

How do I get back to the default fonts?
 
Is this question a particularly ignorant one? Is the answer too simple to
respond to? If so, I will remove it.

Boojum, this is certainly not a dumb question. Few computer questions
are dumb or there wouldn't be all the smart people in the group
answering them. You could just use dumb people for the answers.

I looked around and the only thing I could find for font corruption
would be a repair install.

Since the problem seems to be with Google and you reference
IE 7, uninstall and then reinstall IE 7 and if the Google thing is a
separate progran, reinstall that program first.
