What is the correct folder for FP2002 frame files. Also, should the right
frame be named "main"? Are the file names supposed to be htm or html?

Thanks

1) Default folder for the frameset file/s:

The default folder for the "frameset" file(s) would generally be the root
folder of the web you're working on (for sake of simplicity), but they can
be in any folder of your web.

2) Default home page file name:

The default home page filename would have to be whatever your host requires

eg they may have several names set as index pages:

index.html
index.php
home.php
default.html
default.asp
etc.

Additionally, whether it is 'html' or 'htm' is also determined by the host,
or by the server type your site is hosted on - i.e. Windows or Unix/Linux -
Windows is no longer limited by the 8.3 filename format therefore can use
the '.html' (4 char extension) in the filenames, but I believe Linux is
still limited to '*.htm'. As far as Frontpage is concerned they are one and
the same file.

Check with your host about these.

3) Frame names:
Name these descriptively such as "main" "title" and "menu" - or whatever you
like; it doesn't matter, as long as you know which frame is which so you can
point the links to the correct "target" frame.

There are no conventions here about what "must" be done. It is up to you.
Be aware that using frames can be troublesome, and should only be used when
absolutely deemed necessary. There have been posts on this group regarding
frames previously, and members have stated they can be a pain to get to work
correctly.
