Default fields in search results - TO:

How do I change the default fields in the search results. I know how to
change them for a given search but I would like it to always return the TO
field when I search my sent items. It seems like this should be the default
since I'm sure 99% of us all send from our own account.

Sadly you can't. In Outlook 2003 however you can save your search as a
Search Folder which can hold different views. The results pane is reset
every time you do a search.

DOOH!!! They made so many improvements in Outlook 2003, hopefully that
could be in SP1 since I doubt I'm the only person that finds this
FRUSTRATING.

Yeah, but it is quite tricky as you can search for many different items all
with different columns available. Of course it can be very handy to create
your custom output but the more columns the slower the results come up. By
resetting the view each search they'll make sure that results come up
fast(er) and people won't get performance issues (ever done a search in a
pst-file located on a network that holds over 15000 items in 600MB? That was
a nice tea break already can you imagine what it would be like with more
columns :-D)
