Hi there,

This is a very basic question, if I have two ethernet cards installed
in a server running Windows XP, how can I setup NIC 1 (or 2) to be the
default interface for internet access?. Currently I have NIC1
connected to my cable modem and NIC2 to the router of my private
network and whenever I start a browser session, it goes through NIC2.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a similar problem.
I have a laptop that I use at home and at work.
At first I set it up so that I could share the internet connection I used at
home through IEEE1394, USB, or Ethernet.
When I took it to work the IT guys changed the settings so that it would
connect there (using the Ethernet NIC).
Now, when I connect the laptop to my home network, the only thing that
doesn't work is internet browsing.
Turning off the proxy settings in IE and setting it to "detect
automatically" doesn't do the trick.
I don't want to try anything more drastic until I know more, as it's better
to be able to connect only from work than only from home!
Ideally I'd like to connect through both, but I'd settle for having to
manually switch them.

Thanks, Richard
