I use Outlook Express as default email software. However:
when I use Messenger, I would like it to use my Hotmail
account to send emails.

Where can I change that default?

Greetings,

Well, this really depends what "Messenger" you're referring to. Windows Messenger (4.7.2009
or lower; pre SP2) will make use of your Hotmail account so long as you're signed in with an
active @msn.com or @hotmail.com Passport. Windows Messenger 4.7.3000 (SP2) removes this
functionality. MSN Messenger 6.x will always use Hotmail (as long as you're again, signed in
with an @msn.com or @hotmail.com Passport).

If you're using 4.7.3000 (SP2's Windows Messenger client), you'll need to either downgrade
back to Windows Messenger 4.7.2009 (here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/messenger/download.asp) or use MSN Messenger 6.x instead
(http://messenger.msn.com/Download).

Add your hotmail/passport account added to Outlook Express.
Click on the hotmail email Inbox. I think it will use hotmail
email server by default. In the From: line, your default email
server is usually shown. Click on that little drop-down box
that has a checkmark inside it and select any email server
you have installed. This will work from Hotmail or your
regular email account. Either option is available on either account.
Vice versa, you can select your regualar email server from Hotmail.

For each email account a seperate Inbox, Sent items etc is
created from the other email accounts. They are Labelled.

Jonathan,
Where can I find a list of the changes between Windows Messenger 4.7.2009
(pre SP2) and 4.7.3000 (SP2)?
