On the network that I inherited the default domain policy has the computers
part of the policy disabled (Not sure why).

I want to get it set back to default, but want to back it out slowly. Is
there somewhere that lists all of the defaults for the default domain policy.

I googled but did'nt have much luck..

Thanks
Mike

one way to do it is to create a test dc, install the GPMC and create a
html report of the default GPOs

Hello,

in order to get the default domain and default domain controller policy back
you can use the following tools

For:
Windows 2000 : Recreatedefpol.exe is a tool developed to restore the Default
Domain policies in case of accidental deletion.

Windows 2003 : dcgpofix

Note: there is a switch in dcgpofix through which you can create either of
the one policy.

also after running that tool you have to log off and login as the domain
admin. as that will become the default recovery agent for your domain. Also
do not copy or paste policy from any other domain. use this tool carefully if
you have exchange server.
