my default domain administrator account has a mailbox
associated with the account? I am unable tom login to
this account mail using either local outlook or owa. I am
seeing alot of virus emails coming from this account and
would like to delete the mailbox if it is not needed?

How can I delete this mailbox? Or is it needed for some
reason?

Are you sure about the source of the emails? From-addresses are usually
spoofed by virus writers and spammers alike. If the spam is passing
through your SMTP-server then you have to make sure that it is not an
open relay, and examine the logs to see from what IP-address the emails
are originating.

Ok even if it is spoofing, why does this account have
email? It's up to 2 GB's and I would like to clear it out?

I have been unable to login to the mailbox for this
account, how do I delete this mailbox and not affect my
ad functionailty since this is the ad domain admin

Oh, sorry I misunderstood you, I thought you meant that email was being
sent _from_ the adress. As for the account-email, I am not aware of
windows automatically creating email-accounts, possibly if you have an
exchange mailserver it will do this?, but I don't really know exchange
all that well.

Have you had access to this account before? Do you know the mailserver
it resides in, account etc.? If you do then you need to delete the
account on the mailserver.

This could be some sort of virus that downloads things to your computer,
make sure that you run an extensive scan.
