default browser

Whenever I click on a link, MyIE2 goes into action although I have set
Firefox as the default browser under set programs access and defaults

running 4 browsers may have complicated things for windows xp sp2

is there a registry setting that I can hack?

Hi D@annyBoy :-)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Tools>Internet Options>Programs
On the lower part of the dialog box, check to be sure there is no check mark
in the box next to "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the
default browser". It's checked, Uncheck it and close IE, then try again.

When you open IE again, if it asks you if you want it to be your default
browser, click NO.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Default browser still points to MYIE2.....:
