I have been unsuccessful at repairing/replacing a faulty IE 6 on my XP
machine and I am using Opera as my browser. However, whenever I click a link
in an email, IE opens (w/"Can't open page" message.) How do I make Opera my
"Default" browser?

1. Enable Reinstallation of Internet Explorer or OE (Line 114)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Automated Edit:

Run Command - Reinstalling Internet Explorer (Line 29)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Manual Edit:

Then re-install IE - Go to Start/Run, and type :
"rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132
%windir%\inf\ie.inf"

2. Check with Opera.

Or locate "WinsockxpFix.exe". I had problems with my IE and I tried several
possible fixes, including the IE re-install. All failed because it turned
on to be a problem with the TCP/IP protocol stack problem. LSPFix.exe was
suggested to fix my protocol stack, but I found nothing with this.
