How can I change the default animation effects from "Fly from left"?

If you want the text in all placeholders to fly from left, set them to use
that animation within the template itself - you'll need to edit the masters.

Hi Geetesh,
Thanks, but actually I wanted the default animation effect for text boxes to be "Appear" instead of "Fly from Left". Are you saying that the only way to change the default is by creating a new design template?

Within an active presentation, you can go to the master and change the
animation to Appear. This will be helpful if you are going to create many
slides and changing animation effects all the time can be time-consuming.

You could use multiple masters to do this. You wouldn't need a whole
additional design template. (You're using PPT 2002 or 2003, right?)

Ah, my bad. I thought for some reason you were using 2002.
Glenna's suggesion about linking might be a good workaround in this case
as well. I'm glad she thought of it, because I sure didn't!

Man, I'm really losing it today. Glenna's suggestion to try the linking
at http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com/powerpointtutorials.htm was in a
different thread altogether! But it might work out just fine here, too.
