I searched the discussions for information on this issue, but didn't find an
exact answer. My apologies if it has already been answered and I just haven't
found it yet.
I have a few users with multiple email accounts. One is a POP3 account and
the other is an Exchange Server. The POP3 is the default account. Most of the
time, when they create a new mail message, the message goes out using the
POP3 account (as it should). Sometimes, however, new messages (not replies or
forwards) will try to go out using the Exchange Server.
I have a few questions regarding this:
1) I have heard that if Outlook encounters an error while trying to send
through the default account, it will simply move on to the next and try to
send with it. Is this true?
2) Is there any way to force Outlook to only send through the POP3 account?
(The Exchange Server is used for storage and public folder access only and if
I could remove it, leaving only the POP3 account, I would, but using PST
files for storage is out of the question due to the need for central
management and auditing).
3) Is there any way to set an Exchange Account to be storage only and to
specify that message not be sent through it?
Any help is appreciated.
