I have my Outlook setup with exchange as the default account etc... but i
also have some other pop accounts, however when i send a mail from one of
these pop accounts the receiver gets the email from the default exchange
account not the pop account on a different server?

is there a way that you can set outlook to send from what i say to send from?

What version of Outlook?

exchange 2003 and outlook 2003

Outlook 2003 has an issue whereby, if it can't send mail using the specified
account, instead of giving you a non-delivery report, it will choose another
account until it finds one that will send the mail. So, if for some reason
Outlook can't send via the SMTP server you list in your POP account, it may
very well send via the Exchange account.

hi brian, thanks for the info, however if i remove the exchange account the
email sends from the pop account i select... very strange?

Perhaps that's why Microsoft recommends not having Exchange and POP accounts
in the same mail profile.
