Why is this, Should I be concerned???

Does My Documents have size limitations in XP like prior Windows
versions?

Thanks...

How large is your hard drive how much free space ? Have you partitioned your hard drive and if so how much free space in each partition?

When you try to run Disk Defragmenter what exactly happens?

The My Documents problem in Windows 98 does not apply with Windows XP. Why do you ask? Is My Computer slow to display folders with there being a gyrating torch until they do display?

Hope this helps.

HD is 13G - 4G Free.
No Partitions,

Defrag runs fine, Defrags all. Then I get message that some files
could not be defraged, see report. Report shows MY documents (about 3
G)

I'm asking because MY Docs won't defrag!

Thanks...

An individual file size might cause a problem. I would not expect a folder with sub-folders to be listed. What are the individual files and how large is the largest and how large is the smallest listed?

How many characters in the file name and how long are the paths? Have you any unusual characters in the file name?

Have you tried to run Disk Defragmenter a second and third time? Does it reduce the number of fragments.

Is the drive FATx or NTFS. If FATx, then the built-in defragmenter won't be
able to defragment it
