Decrease in performance

My browser is behaving strangely. It is extremely slow
when I scroll down pages. In fact, the screen jerks a few
times and finally comes to the desired location. Also,
when I type text eg., when I type my emails, the text
appears after a few seconds! Also, when I hit the "back"
button, it takes very long for the already downloaded
images to appear. This problem persists even when I view
files offline! Any reasons? (Currently, I am using IE6 SP-
1, but this problem existed with the previous install of
IE5.0 also).
 
I just posted with the same symptoms.. Ditto everything.
It's like it has a Performance leak, because, at least in
my case, it's sucking my CPU, but still dragging..

Same here, my computer does the same. It started after I

got the new patch from internet explorer6 822925. I have
road runner and it is as slow as dial up. If you find a
solution, please I am all ears. I will do the same like
wise if I find out
 
The CWShredder appears to have worked for me. I am also
using Ad-Aware 6.0 & Spybot Search and Destroy, and both
those products have cleaned up trace programs, as well. I
think, I think, we may have solved it - many thanks to
Smile Extender - he certainly extended my smiles today!!
(I was NOT looking forward to rebuilding my laptop..)
