Has anybody any recommendations for a 17-19" flatpanel monitor
(1280x1024@4:3 ratio NOT widescreen) which has a DVI input?

Preferably in the £140-£200 range? I don't need it to have speakers or
a TV tuner, just more interested in getting a decent display with a
reasonable response time (8-12ms) (as it will be used for games quite a
lot).

UK highstreet seems to be full of nothing but monitors with DSUB inputs
only except for a few way overpriced (as always) Sony offerings. Asking
the "assistants" if they got DVI inputs usually results in a blank stare
and an unwillingness to check.

Bought this one a couple of months back and it is very good, brilliant
picture and not bad sound from the in-built speakers.
Very impressed with the DVI input as I've never had a monitor with it before
and it certainly looks sharper with it.
I paid about £180 which I thought was good value but now it's down to less
than £140 inc vat !

Franko.

I don't know if this is still available or not, but PC Connection had
the Hanspree (Hanns-G) HC-194D for $220 with two rebates of $20 and
$100, net cost $100. It is an excellent monitor, worth the full $220
before-rebate price. It is a 19" 1280x1024 monitor with dual inputs and
also a sound system.
