The Image Zone Software came with my digital camera. I contacted HP
and they
gave me updated software. I still am getting the same result and I
have also
uninstalled & reinstalled with no luck. I really don't know what a
debugging
device is or how to get rid of it. It dosen't affect any of mt other
programs
but HP.
Their software relies on some other software already being installed;
however, their error message is so crappy that the other software
requirement is not identified (and apparently even HP doesn't know
what the error means). Have you installed all 3 versions of .Net?
Visit Windows Update to make sure you have them all, or go to
http://www.microsoft.com/net/ and download all 3 versions of the
redistributables, including their updates.
From seaching on "common language debugging services" at Microsoft
huge support knowledgebase at
http://support.microsoft.com, I found:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309333/en-us
If .Net support is what HP requires then it is stupid and
irresponsible that their install program doesn't check for the
required .Net versions to already be installed.
I doubt the HP software is required for using your digital camera? Is
the camera actually branded as being from HP? You need the driver to
support the camera device (if not already supported by the USB
drivers). The HP software is fluffware that the camera maker includes
to bloat their software bundle to pretend you are getting something of
value. It is likely that there is much better software than the HP
fluffware. I, too, have received hardware with the HP crap included
and have always found better free software.
