Dealing with Completed Tasks

I am using my task list extensively (with Franklin Covey's
PlanPlus add-on), and now I have a problem I can't find an
easy solution for.

When I go to my task view, there are loads of completed
tasks, greyed out, crossed out, and just sitting there.

How can I manage these? Maybe sort by completion status,
or not display completed tasks, or archive them, or
anything else anybody can think of?

Categorise Tasks - use your project names. That enables you to group them
and then drag to a filing folder. Make a folder for Tasks in your Archive
or Personal folders. I make one folder for each project. Some of my clients
even burn to CD ROM for long term storage.

Make sure you have your advanced toolbar on, then select the Group by Box
when viewing your tasks folder. Drag the Category column header into the
Group By Box and now you'll see your work to do and what's been done for
each project. Click the complete column (to sort by it) and the table you
have made is easy to file from.
