dead monitor?

My uncle was downloading poser 4 stuff, when the monitor suddenly turned off. he thought it was the screensaver, but the monitor just shows a black screen. If there is a light reflecting on it, you can just see windows though. i have used another monitor on the pc and it works. I have wiggled all the connectors, made sure everything is connected...

Anyone give any clues?

Its a LCD...or, TFT...one of those.

Have you tried the suspect dead TFT monitor on another system? If so, and its still broke, then I suggest you google it, with the manafacturers name in to see if anyone else has posted this problem in a forum, I cant count the times that googling queries has saved my bacon ;).


If you still cant find the answer after googling it, then you could try ringing up the manafacturers helpline/sales line or what ever and ask them what it could be.

also the backlight or light in the lcd probaly burnt out you might have to replace that light inside lcd... my 2 sense
