DDR400 (200MHz) PC3200 Memory?

Hello guys,
Does this type of memory allow it to be installed as one piece of memory or
does it have to be done in pairs? For example, if I wanted to install
another 1 Gig in my machine, would I have to buy 2 x 512's or could I just
buy one piece of 1Gig? Assuming I have the slots in my machine of course !!

A bit confusing this memory !!!

Go to www.crucial.com Steve.
Input your motherboard, and it`ll tell you what memory
you need (can use).

Of course you don`t have to buy from them.

Also. There have been instances where one memory module won't work
with another, so there's no guarantee. Try to install as close as
possible to what you already have. And better memory is better
memory, etc.

if you dont plan to add more than two gigs of memory to your system
then i would go with 2x 512 and run dual channell setup which increases
the memory bandwidth of your system allowing it to run a little quicker
than the 1gb stick, just check your motherboard supports it. (*what
motherboard do you have)? the sticks dont always have to be identical
although the identical thing is the official party line. i used two
completely different sticks with the same frequency in a dual channel
setup.

if fact what is your entire system spec?
