Hello,

I am finally putting together my 'dream pc'. I bought some DDR2 1000 memory
(not 1066). The motherboard I will be receiving in a few days is advertised
for DDR2 800 and DDR2 1066. Is that a problem? (I bought DDR2 1000 memory
because it was on sale.)

Thanks,
T.I.

shouldn't be a problem if the memory is decent - just overclock it a little
to get it to 1066

I have the same speed in my machine - 4Gb OCZ DDR2 PC8000 ReaperX memory in
a Gigabyte X38 motherboard with a Q6600.

Runs like a dream !!!

good luck

Geoff

You talking about DDR2-1000 or ... DDR2-800? :)

the OP said it was DDR2 PC1000 memory - mine is OCZ DDR2 PC8000 (1000mhz)
and with a vltage boost it's running at 1066mhz just fine and dandy
