is it able to put a DDR-RAM into a SDRAM slot?

SDRAM could be considered
'synchronous dynamic random access memory' but more often
Single Data rate random access memory.

No, you cannot put a DDR module into a slot meant for
PC66/100/133 memory. Check your motherboard manual for the
memory it supports.

Newby here who was just exploring this today.
Groups.googling the archives turns up explanations of this.
One thing that leapt out at me (as I tried to answer my
question quickly) is that SDRAM is 168 pin and DDRAM is 184
pin. No fit.
