nearly had a fit! went to pcworld for some more ram, £49.99 for 1GB, can anyone please tell me which supplier is cheap and reliable for ram

thanks in advance

Emma

Everywhere is cheaper than there for RAM they will rip you off and not even think about it

goto play.com

just hope your RAM dont need to be registered or that could be the problem with the expense

i'd use the crucial website that flopps linked to to find what you are after, in my experience they are really quick with despatching orders and are fairly cheap too :thumb:

To all visitors of Komplett.co.uk,

As of 1 July 2008, Komplett.co.uk has closed down its UK operations. We regret to inform you that it is no longer possible for UK customers to make any purchases from Komplett.co.uk anymore.

Most members here will only recommend suppliers they've had good service from.

How have Komplett treated you recently? ;)

Living in the U.S., I order most items through Newegg.com.
This is not much help to those of you in the U.K.

I have over the years compiled lists of vendors to check for regionally appropriate solutions to computing needs/problems. I add references as I find others who support a vendor that I obviously don't use.
It's not perfect, but to me it seems that I can often find a helpful answer to a question that works well for the OP. I apologize for my mistake.

i bought a 2g ddr ram for 16.00 pound from computer fare.
where as in pc world I would be spending double of that amount to get a 2g ram .

Computer fare is good if you are in London, but as Emma is in Swansea erm it might be a tad cheaper online...:p

London is not the only place that holds computer fairs

I have been to a lot of computer fairs in my time.

Basically, they're mostly a waste of time.

Prices usually higher or at very best just the same, as online.

And often with no backup if product is faulty. At least buying online there's usually an rma service.

Just visit Crucial's site and worry no more :)

listen guys..thank you all for your quick responses and apologies for my slow ones......xmas is a busy time of year in my social calendar lol.......I have checked out some of the websites you have suggested and they are miles cheaper than pcworld...

thank you for all your help, and again, apologies for my slow replies

Emma xx
