DCPromo will not add DC to AD Domain

I am trying to add a DC to an active Directory domain. When I run DCPROMO I get the DNS lookup error. I have reviewed all the documents that teh error points to and the only problem I can see is that on my DNS server there are no SRV records. There is only one server in teh current AD. I cannot figure out how to add teh SRV records into DNS like they should be and I just cannot delete the DNS setup and start over. I believe that this is somehow related to the problem but not sure on how to fix or where to turn.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My 1st question is what DNS are you running? BIND or MS? If BIND what
version?

Yes and when I enable Dynamic updates it send all of my sites nutty. I host several websites on this server and it will start serving what ever it feels like to whom ever.
