Hi

I maybe has been discussed before but I wasn't able to find it...

After I run fbreseal, the image has a DCOM error (Event ID: 10010) and a
error from the service manager on the IIS Admin service (Event ID: 7024)

I know it hasn't so much with XP embedded to do, but on a regular XP
installation there is the luxury of reinstall the iis admin (Which is the
solution on those platforms). I do not have this with XP embedded...
My research tells me it can be related to som crypto file needed bu IIS
Admin that has been corrupt ?? Is there a generel bug in fbreseal ??

So I have some few question:

1: Does anybody know how to solve this ?

2: alternative, how do I ensure, that the IIS Admin service isn't launced
at boot ?? (Something is trying to start it, event if it set to manual or
disable)

Hi,

I had the same Problem. I solve it with the dcomcnfg.exe command. In this
configuration window you can disable the launch of the IIS Admin Service.

Component Services > Computers > My Computer > DCom Config > IIS Admin Service
right click > Properties > Location > disable "Run App on this computer"

Thnaks... That solve the problem for now.. But still... The problems isnøt
gone.
Its a luck that I dont need the IIS Admin service.. But what todo when the
service is needed ??

Hello,

I think this is not a generel bug in fbreseal because my IIS Admin Service
work even after fbreseal.
