While running dcdiag from my 2000 Server, the frssysvol test fails with the
following message. Error: No record of the file replication system SYSVOL
started. the Active Directory may be prevented from starting.
But then underneath this it has ....................................[server
name]passed test frssysvol.

I have stopped then restated the netlogon and some other services. Tried the
test right after and it passed. In a few minutes the error would come back.
Thanks for your help.

I have noticed that on occasion also. Check Event Viewer to see if any
errors are reported related to sysvol. If not and everything works all right
including newly configured Group Policy settings I would not worry about it
since the server did pass the test. Try running the netdiag and gpotool also
to see if a problem is found. Netdiag will verify a bunch of stuff
including dns configuration. --- Steve

Steven, thanks for the help. I didnt see anything out of the ordinary, other
than the 2000 server shows a trust relationship with my 2003 server. When I
run netdiag from the 2003 server it says trust relationship skipped? Could
this be a problem? I have a small domain with 2 servers and about 100 users.
Oh and alos the IPsec policy test passed on the 2000 server, but there are no
policys configured and is was skipped on the 2003. Thanks.
