I can't get these stupid tools to work.

I downloaded dcdiag.exe off the Microsoft website and when
I run it I only get a error regarding the ntdsapi.dll
right away.

I've installed Windows 2000 Server , Installed the support
tools ; Admin Pack and then installed SP4 .

AFter that I install DCDIAG and still get the error?!!?!

Any ideas on how to get these tools working?

Dean

You've already done what I would suggest first, SP4 and download the
latest from MS.

Make sure you don't have an old one on your path...

Search Microsoft for perhaps a later version

You said that you loaded Windows 2000, have you ran
DCPROMO to make it a Domain Controller?

If you have then I am sorry for the question, but I had to
ask.

I've ran dcpromo already.

Windows 2000 SErver resource kit is on order, I'll try the
version that comes with that and go from there.

Thanks,

Dean

The kit version will likely be OLDER (and more likely to cause such
problems.)

I have no idea why you mentioned "DCPromo" at this point.
